Victoria Cello Club
The Victoria Cello Club welcomes players of all ages and levels to come together for a unique celloistic experience. The club is offering a couple of classes in ensemble playing, two different levels, as well as a Celtic Cello Class where cellists will learn to fiddle! Beginner Cello Ensemble/Celtic Class: Level 1

Duration: 1 hour/week; 20 weeks (No Class April 17th, 24th, and May 22nd)

Players with basic knowledge of the cello, can play a couple of scales and can read a little bit. Sight-reading a plus but not required.
Yes, Cellist’s CAN have the melody too! Looking to meet new cellists at your level who share the same passion as you? Look no further! This beginner cello ensemble class will allow players to have fun and play with other cellists! We will be playing group solo pieces as well as learning to play as an ensemble with two or more different parts. Aside from learning on how to play as an ensemble we will be learning some celtic fiddle tunes as well! The focus of this class is to develop your listening skills as well as learning to play with better a tone quality. Scales will also be a part of this class.(note: Some music will be available for pick up one week before the first class at the Long and McQuade Music Education Center).

Intermediate Cello Ensemble/Celtic Class: Level 2

Players with more knowledge of the cello who can play easily up into fourth position and can read music. (Equivalent to Suzuki Level 2-4)

Liike the beginner class, we will focusing on developing your listening skills, learning to play as an ensemble, as well as playing with better a tone quality. 2-3 octave scales will be learnt as well during this class.
